We collect information needed to operate the MyDevizeTrust service safely and responsibly.

- Recovery location, location accuracy, battery status and Android installation identifiers when you enable Guardian Mode

Android recovery and background location
When you enable Guardian Mode, MyDevizeTrust collects precise location for periodic safety checks and lost or stolen device recovery, including when the app is closed or not in use. Android asks for location and notification permissions during recovery setup. You can decline permission or disable recovery in the app.
Location updates are transmitted over HTTPS, restricted to the authenticated owner, and excluded from public device verification and advertising. Recovery locations expire after 30 days and are removed by scheduled cleanup. If you choose to share recovery information with another person or law enforcement, they receive the information you share.
Service providers and optional analytics
Our hosting providers process account and device records to operate the service. Cloudinary processes the photos and documents you upload. Google Play handles purchases in the Android app; Paystack handles website payments. We retain payment references and verification status rather than your full card details. Google provides optional account sign-in and, when you consent, usage analytics. Email delivery providers process account messages.
Usage analytics can be disabled in the Android account settings. Recovery coordinates and private ownership documents are not sent as usage analytics events.
Account deletion and retained records
You can request deletion from Account → Your account data in the Android app or from your profile on the website. Deletion starts a 30-day reactivation period. After that period, the service anonymizes profile fields and removes the account’s current ownership of devices. Ownership history, transaction references and security records may remain for fraud prevention and the integrity of the device register.
